The McCullers Leadership Circle is a group of loyal supporters investing in Charlotte Lit’s future and helping achieve our vision of becoming the Southeast’s premier creative writing and literary arts center.

Your generous gift of $1,000 or more will help us to:

  • Develop new classes and lab programs

  • Provide resources to help writers turn their craft into a source of income

  • Provide free programs like Pen to Paper and Community Conversations

  • Explore new ways to help writers from underrepresented groups tell their stories

  • Provide scholarships for disadvantaged writers

  • Form new partnerships with other arts organizations in Charlotte

McCullers Circle Benefit: Weekday Studio Use

Who: McCullers Leadership Circle Members Only

When: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.*

What: Enjoy an Uptown coworking space for less than $90 per month. Come and go as you please during the set hours! If we’re not here, text 704-325-9798 for the door code.

How: Text us to let us know you’re coming. When you arrive, the following guidelines apply. The default condition for the studio is quiet / quiet-ish. Note that our office is inside the studio, making quiet-ish more likely than silence. Phone calls cannot be made when anyone else is present, including Charlotte Lit staff. We’ll often be playing instrumental music, but do let us know if that interrupts your process. Beverages and snacks are available, along with a tip jar to help cover the cost. When you leave, please put things back where they were found, and use the trash and recycle bins.
